Offered for sale is a beautiful antique blown mold colorless glass decanter bottle manufactured during the early 1800s. Based on the what I've read about this pattern, it falls into what is considered the Baroque line and these piece are attributed to the Baltimore, MD and/or Philadelphia, PA glass factories of that era.
The decanter pattern is referred to as pattern G. V-8 Shell & Ribbing and it stands 10 5/8 tall with the stopper in place. The decanter has a rough pontil mark on the bottom. The overall condition of the decanter is very good. The decanter itself has no chips or cracks other than what is the result of the pontil mark on the bottom. There is the standard rubbing you find inside the neck of the bottle from the stopper and a very faint thin line of cloudiness just in the bottom edges of the bottle. As with any antique glass it has the standard imperfections of ash, airbubbles, and some asymmetry. The stopper fits well with a little wobble and there are some losses to the edge of the stopper.
