Offered for sale is an exquisite antique Victorian era peachblow glass vase manufactured by Thomas Webb of England. The vase has two layers of glass with an opaque white inner layer and a pale pink exterior layer which has a gradient effect from white at the bottom to a deep pink at the top.
The vase features a ruffled rim lined in gold gilt accents and the most stunning features are the hand-painted details on the sides which display a dragonfly flying among flowers, branches, and leaves. The colors are very well done against the pink background and each detail is accented in gold gilt which really makes them "pop". The vase has a smooth polished pontil mark on the bottom and it stands about 6 tall. The overall condition of the vase is excellent. There are no chips, cracks, or repaired areas. The surface is clean with little to no exterior scratches and the hand-painted details display no loss or wear that I note. The gold gilt is nearly all in tact with loss to a thin band around the foot. The interior is clean and this piece will absolutely compliment and fine art glass collection!
