A fine hairline runs around the perimeter near the widest point. This hairline has not compromised the integrity of the vase, is stable, can not be felt from the exterior, and is barely visible unless backlit.
Please review the last 2 photos for closeups. Ear is appropriate for age and history of use. The vase is numbered "181" on the bottom of the base. Please review the photos as they are a descriptive part of the listing. While this example is absolutely remarkable to look at and appreciate, it is not a flawless example and is priced accordingly. If you are not concerned with the noted imperfection, the vase will look stunning no matter where it is showcased.
