Here we have a great early pantry jar from the early 1800s. The blown glass is clear in color and is fairly thin. The base kicks up with a large open pontil scar left from the blowing process. A tin lid covers the crude wide mouth. This jar stands just about 7 1/4" tall and is just under 4" across base. The condition is excellent with no chips, cracks, open bubbles, pot stone issues, etc. A great early primitive jar!
