Scarce Mt Washington Napoli Vase. Napoli glassware was only made by Mt.It was created and patented by Albert Steffin. The colored enameling is applied to the inside of the glass, and that design is outlined on the outside of the vase, in gilt. These pieces were always signed Napoli. No roughs, chips, or cracks. Very slight bottom scuffing from shelf wear. Signature & pattern number intact. Exterior gold outlines & web lines in very good condition. Interior Paint in upper over-turned lip area in very good condition.
Interior Paint in Neck, Body and Bottom Bulb Base areas is worn from bottle brushing (see images against dark background). Down turned collar/lip 5" diameter x 2.5" deep glass is approx. 3/16th of a inch thick. Neck is approx 2 diameter widens to bulb/tear drop shape that is approx. Weight is 1 pound 11.8 ounces.
The interior paints are in three colors. - The top colors are a teal-green.
- The neck and body colors are a powder-blue. - The bottom colors are a periwinkle-blue.
Bright gold outlining of the designs. Signature and pattern number is in a yellow-gold enamel.
