1910-20s Antique German Blown Glass Raphael Angel /Cherub Bust Figural Ornament. This girl angel is shown with her bust on a cloud waist up. Her left hand is holding her chin, her right is across her waist.

This ornament was molded after the famous Two Cherubs painting by Raphael on the ceiling of the Sistene Chapel. At approximately 4" tall, 2.5" wide, and 2 deep, she's the rarer large version of the. Paint is silver, gold, peach, and red with crushed glass flocking accents on the flowers of her headband at her ears and along it around her head.

Flocking is also at the top of the lick by the cap. Her bright blue eyes make her whole face pop. The glass is paper thin, and the pike is in excellent condition. She has a hairline crack on the back right side. It doesn't go through the glass, my fingers don't catch on it when I run them over the area.

It's not an uncommon find on a 100+ year old ornament made of paper-thin glass. It doesn't distract from the ornament, especially when she's hung on the tree.
