Antique Sandwich Glass Blown Font Whale Oil Lamp, Stepped Quatrefoil Base, The Boston and Sandwich Glass Co. This lamp is a very attractive and early example with a clear blown conical font joined to a pressed stepped quatrefoil base by a thick stack of wafers. This is a known Sandwich glass font on a known Sandwich glass base. This has it's original two tube whale oil burner. This lamp base is listed in "A GUIDE TO SANDWICH GLASS WHALE OIL LAMPS AND ACCESSORIES" by Barlow and Kaiser, plate # 2058. DIMENSIONS: The lamp measures 7 1/8 H. (top of burner) x 6 11/16 H.

(top of font) x 2 9/16" Dia at the font, x 3 3/8" wide at the base. CONDITION: The lamp is in very good condition with some minor wear and chipping to the base. There are also the imperfections often found in early flint glass of this period.
