Here we have a beautiful early salt cellar that was likely made by Boston & Sandwich Glass Works sometime around the 1830s. This salt is the GIII-25 variant having a great form, geometric patterns, and the flared out mouth. The base has a pontil scar from the blowing process along with several rings.
The glass is a medium cobalt blue in color. This salt measures 1 5/8" tall by 2 7/16" wide. There are a couple minor flakes to the edge of the flared lip but other than that, this piece is in great shape.
