Rare and Exceptional Antique Victorian Diorama Wax Figurine with a Baroque Influence. Circa late 18th early 19th C. Most probably French or German. This is a high quality work of art. All original under the hand-blown glass is the charming wax figurine of the infant with a beautiful uplifting expression which will make you smile each time you look at the diorama.
In our collection for over forty years. Never seen another one like this one. Exquisite baroque-style rich costume and delicate decor. This delicate antique wax work of art is even rarer than the already very hard to find late 18th early 19th Century "inside a glass dome" wax examples.
