All four decanters and stoppers are intact with no problems remarkable! Even the gilding on the bottles which each have a capacity of about a half pint is little worn. It comes with what looks to be its original key but I cannot get the lock, which is loose in its housing, to work. The box itself is in superb condition and judging by its lock, fittings, and general style I think it may be of continental origin, perhaps Dutch. This is a very unusual item with good provenance as it came from the attics of Spetchley Park seat of the Spetchley-Berkeley family in Worcestershire, a branch of the Berkeley family from Berkeley castle in Gloucestershire.
