The body of the vase is a single layer opaque white glass with a glossy finish shaped as a corn-on-the-cob with textured hand painted golden-yellow leaves outlined in gold. The leaves stand in relief from the corn textured background. This type glass was also produced by the Libbey Glass Co.
In Toledo OH after the factory was moved and was produced in a limited quantity. Maize glass is pictured in syrup pitcher form on page 93 in the book "The Collector's Encyclopedia of American Art Glass" by John A.
Measures 6 1/2" high with the top measuring 3 1/4" in diameter. This nice celery vase is in excellent Estate condition with no noted flaws. The color of the painted leaves is bright and the leaves are free of wear which is common on pieces that were painted after the item was fired.
